An animated music video for Battlegrounds Mobile India's 4.3 lobby track, made with LanLan. I handled the 3D: four environment sequences and one FX shot, all built to sit inside a flat, non-photoreal look.

Behind the scenes

I was the only 3D artist on it, working straight with the 2D team and matching whatever got thrown at me. The whole job was making 3D not read as 3D. NPR shading, lineart, and abstracting the models down so the shapes felt drawn instead of modelled.

Everything ran in Blender. EEVEE for the NPR render, grease pencil for the lineart, a custom geometry script to drive the stylisation, and a pipeline script for rendering. Shading and lighting were tuned per shot to lock onto the 2D aesthetic instead of a realistic one.

The environments split across four sequences. A watchtower, three shots, animated. A church, two shots, one animated. A stadium, three shots, static. A crates set, five shots, animated. The one FX shot was a bullet hit with glass shatter, kept stylised to match the rest.
